Studio
A small studio on Yonge Street
Behnaz Hadjian is an interior designer and home stager. She works with families settling into a home for the long run, and with sellers and agents who need a house ready for its listing photos.
The studio is deliberately small. Behnaz leads every project herself, from the first walkthrough to the last cushion. Trusted trades, upholsterers and an install crew join as each job needs them.
Design projects and staging jobs share a studio and an eye. Staging keeps the design work honest about what photographs well and what buyers notice. Design work keeps the staging grounded in how people actually live.
What guides the work
Start with the light
Where the sun is at eight in the morning and at four in the afternoon decides more than any paint chip.
Keep what you love
A grandmother's chair or a rug from a trip often anchors a room better than anything new.
Scale to the room
The right-sized sofa makes a room look bigger. It's the cheapest square footage there is.
Where we work
Up and down Yonge, and either side of it
The studio sits on Yonge Street just north of Steeles. Most projects are within a short drive, from Richmond Hill down to Yorkville and out to Vaughan and Markham.
