Charcoal millwork, a walnut-clad tall wall, and one continuous line of light drawn above the island.
The family cooks every night, so the island had to work harder than it looked. Storage runs the full length on the working side and the seating side stays clean.
The pendant is a single bent tube of light. It reads as a drawing in the room and keeps the sightline to the garden open.
